Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

How to Wear Lace-Front Wigs

A lace-front wig can give you the hair that you never thought you could have in a few short steps. Made of either human or synthetic hair, lace-front wigs produce the look of a natural scalp and hairline. The lace is actually a monofilament with individual hair strands tied to every hole. This design creates a breathability quality. The lace inner lining of the wig is also soft and flexible, which makes for a comfortable fit.

Items you will need

  • Shampoo
  • Face wash
  • Cotton balls
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Wig cap
  • Scissors
  • Liquid soft-bond adhesive
  • Cotton swab

Step 1:Secure your natural hair to the head using bobby pins.

Step2:Pace a wig cap over your natural hair.Pace a wig cap over your natural hair.

Step3:Use a cotton ball soaked in alcohol to clean the skin around your entire hairline. Rub along your hairline from your forehead to the back of your head.

Step4:Apply glue along the perimeter of the hairline, and let it dry before putting on the lace wig. Do not bond your lace wig to wet glue because it will not stick well.

Step5:Trim the excess lace by cutting small amounts at a time using stork scissors. Beginners can leave around 1/2 inch lace for attaching it with the tape or glue easily.

Step6:Roll the lace edge of the wig over your hairline and onto the adhesive on your skin once you have the wig in the proper position. Press the edges of the wig onto the glue, starting at the top of your head and then moving to the back of your head and behind the ears.

Step7:When done, wig should look natural and the hairline should clean. You can style your wig as you like.

  • Remove adhesive with a wig-adhesive solvent. Dab the adhesive remover along your hairline with a cotton swab and peel the wig away from your hairline as the glue dissolves.
  • Lace-front wigs also adhere with double-sided tape if adhesive makes you uncomfortable. Remove the backing from the tape and run it along your hairline. Once attached to your hairline, remove the top layer of backing. Press the wig into place.

  • Remember that less is more when it comes to adhesive. Overdoing it will not increase the bond, but it will increase the drying time.
